Partnership Agreement between CAMM and OTDAV
As part of the celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day, which took place on 26 April 2017, at the headquarters of the Tunisian Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Organization (OTDAV), the Centere for Arab and Mediterranean Music signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the OTDAV defining the general framework of this partnership and specifying the areas of collaboration among which:
-
Collaboration for the development of a database that will manage the musical recordings works (audio and video) held by the CMAM;
-
Definition of the conditions of exploitation by CMAM of the musical recordings that it holds - if it decides to make them available to the public - in a way that guarantees the respect of the intellectual and artistic property rights of rights holders ( Authors, producers and performers);
-
The establishment of training and awareness programs on intellectual and artistic property.
In addition, OTDAV undertakes to provide legal advice to CMAM when necessary, for the protection of intellectual and artistic property rights relating to its products, its museum collections and its archives.
A Steering and Follow-up Committee was set up between the two signatories of the Convention, which was concluded for a period of one year, with tacit renewal, in order to ensure its implementation.
